About The Event:

2020 was a traumatic event for everyone. Our understanding of mental health needs has continued to evolve and is now at the forefront of community conversations worldwide. Our communities are looking for answers and healing.

What if better mental health was right at our fingertips (or toe tips as it were)? What if something as simple as walking more could greatly improve mental health, emotional regulation, personal relationships, and physical health? Great news! Walking and horseback riding has been proven to help individuals feel improved results in all these areas.

Benefits of Walking You May Experience

  • Improved Mental Health
  • Increased Ability to Regulate Emotions
  • Create connected relationships (when walking with others!)
  • Increased Physical Health (cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness)
  • Reduced risk of heart disease and stroke
  • Stronger bones and improved balance
  • Improved connection to nature and the outdoors

Why we need connection and relationships?

Inherent in all symptoms of trauma (depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc.) is a loss of connection to self and others and a diminished ability to create and maintain healthy relationships.

Why walking helps.

People who are better able to regulate their emotions and who feel positive about their mental health are more likely to engage in behaviors that foster healthy relationships with those in their life.

**Please follow the current Covid-19 guidelines for your area.**
